Tissue Culture

Micropropagation, popularly known as "Tissue Culture", is a technique to propagate plants "in Vitro" in a laboratory. Select tissues from the plants are cultured on a nutrient rich medium, providing stimulus for the
tissue to multiply, thus giving multiple plants from a single mother Tissue / Plant. The main advantage is that a large number of plants can be propagated from single Plant / Tissue at a fast rate. Being a vegetative / cloning technique, the progeny are identical to the mother plant. Selective breeding, development of desirable characters / traits such as high yield, disease resistance etc. are also possible thru' micropropagation.
Ideal for intensive Plant Production.
